YMCA Mackenzie Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located in Building 9 at Mackenzie State Primary School and welcomes all families within the Mackenzie school community.
YMCA Mackenzie OSHC provides a wide range of fun, engaging, and age-appropriate programs designed to reflect real-life experiences and a home-like environment. Our program encourages a strong sense of community, supports the development of leadership skills, and allows children to build confidence and social skills in a safe and caring setting.
Our programs align with the YMCA mission to support children to grow in body, mind, and spirit, underpinned by our core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility. We also incorporate the National Quality Framework “My Time, Our Place" along with the educational principles of Mackenzie State Primary School to create meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable experiences for every child.
YMCA Mackenzie OSHC operates Monday to Friday:
- Before School Care (BSC): 6:30am – 9:00am
- After School Care (ASC): 2:30pm – 6:00pm
Our educators support Prep children by escorting them to and from their classrooms. We cater for children from Prep to Year 6, offering a variety of age-appropriate activities. Nutritious breakfast and afternoon tea are provided daily to support children's wellbeing. We offer flexible attendance options, including casual, part-time, permanent, and emergency bookings.
We also provide Vacation Care during school holidays, as well as care on pupil-free days, operating from 6:30am to 6:00pm. Families will receive detailed information about upcoming activities and procedures prior to each holiday period.
All families are required to complete an online enrolment through our website before their child can attend. Once enrolled, families are welcome to meet with the coordinator to discuss their child's needs and ensure a smooth and positive start. An information pack will also be provided upon enrolment.
