Communication between parents and teachers is an important part of Mackenzie's culture.
Our Principal emails our families a weekly update which provides current information about student activities and school events.
Our school also communicates through the Class Dojo app for reminders and celebrations of learning. We also used this application as our platform for learning during COVID lockdown very successfully. Each of our classes has a homepage to share year level communications and to share photos and videos within a secure environment.
We have a school SMS that is a method of disseminating messages of an urgent nature.
Telephone or email contact is encouraged when an immediate response is not required. Teachers will respond within 48 business hours.
At the beginning of Term 2 and Term 4 we encourage parents to attend our School Interviews. Teachers will report on the academic, social and behavioural progress of students at this time.
Report Cards are issued at the end of Term 2 and Term 4 through electronic method.
Interviews can be requested by teachers or parents at anytime throughout the year but may need to have a mutually agreeable time set for the meeting.
